DEDICATION
Losing my father was a defining moment in my life. When this happened, I found myself faced with the daunting task of going through libraries and spending my sad times in reading books to change my mind.
Despite being a grown man, on that day I was no more than a grieving child. I also spend my time in weaving in his hand loom as a substitute to him. But the loss was almost unbearable. In a weathered nightstand amongst my father’s belongings, I found his books and cassettes. My tears were replaced by a smile somewhat.
I would like to dedicate this book to my father who is a god father to my village people being a weaver, businessman and mentor to the poor. He taught me to love the world, poor people. He introduced me to the spiritual world. Finally, I wish to dedicate this book to my precious mother: Kamala who is lovable and my soul mate Hemamalini who is an excellent teacher (Hey, you are the best of me).
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
My deepest thanks to the Lord Ganesha, Lord Agathiyar/Goddess Lopamudra, Lord Athri/Goddess Anusuya my Gurus and irrepressible School Maths Teacher, Mr. Kandasamy and others who gave me the excellent teaching. Thank you all of my virtual Gurus.

And a special thanks to my readers.

PREFACE
Within this book is the knowledge that each of us is a combination of light and darkness, and that we are capable of functioning either at a higher vibrational level of love and acceptance, or choosing to use our lower-level base personality, which can be unenlightened and petty.
No astrological sign is superior to another. Together they swirl like a kaleidoscope of beautiful colors, standing in contrast to gray shadows. We will learn that we control our own destinies to a great degree. If I have done my job, after reading this book you will have learned that bombastic boss of yours may very well be a Loe or a Virgo, etc.
I hope that you will have a better understanding of your own temperament, and those of your friends and loved ones. It is only with understanding that we come to accept ourselves and those around us. The purpose of this book is to give you some “aha!” moments about yourself and those whom you meet along life’s path.

INTRODUCTION
He who knows others is learned, he who knows himself is wise.
—Lao-tse
The quest for personal identity and self-knowledge is an universal human pursuit for millenniums. Who we are? How could our destiny be written by the stars? Why do few commit wings to their life flames, but others tip toe throughout life so cautiously? To answers these questions, there is an explosion of renewed willingness interest in Vedic astrology. Awareness of essential nature aids in enlightenment and self-acceptance, and also provides insight to our most of the close relationships.
Many of us know about Vedic astrology. We can read our moon signs in magazines and daily newspapers and even buy periodicals that offer predictions based on sun, moon and rising signs. Still, there is one another form of astrology known as Vedic astrology. Vedic astrology is based on 12 signs by each having different meaningful representations. Eastern astrology differs from Western astrology in many ways.
While this moon-based system utilizes mathematical formulae, it is not entirely a forecasting science, rather interpretive art. Vedic astrology is built upon principle foundations, order, and spiritual laws of coincidence/synchronicity. This is the spiritual journey through physical dimension. We plot the characteristics of personality and find the purpose for our present existence. Your character reflects the intent of your spirit.
